Testimonials

Anson (Hong Kong) - August 2016

'I got an "A" for both English Language and Literature (UK GCSE). Thank you, Ann. I couldn't have done it without you.'

Hyunmook (Korea) - July 2014

'Ann has a great talent and a real enthusiasm for teaching and supporting not only students from international backgrounds but whoever needs and wants to improve their spoken English as well as general study skills. I was her student and tutee at The Leys School in Cambridge and I have witnessed many cases, including myself, who have evidently experienced significant improvements in their academic work, through Ann’s advice and encouragement, and also discovered what they genuinely enjoyed for their life and now exert themselves to accomplish their goals. Having studied here in the UK for 8 years, I have never seen anywhere outside Ann’s teaching environment where it could provide students with better teaching materials and knowhow for learning within confined resources.'

Mian (Hong Kong) - July 2014

"The mediocre teacher tells; The good teacher explains; The superior teacher demonstrates: The great teacher inspires" (William Arthur Ward)

'Ann - you are a great teacher. Thank you for guiding me in the right direction.'

Hyunmook (Korea) - July 2014

'Writing a personal statement, whether it is prepared for work or academia, is never easy as it is meant to be written clearly and constructively so as to represent oneself to a reader. A good personal statement needs to be produced that includes a clear message in it. Nevertheless, it is not always the case that the message is delivered to the reader as the writer wished for due to the reason that it was either poorly constructed or unsuitable. Thanks to Ann’s experience in writing a personal statement and her valuable advice I have been helped to find out what I truly desire and how to write it up. Therefore, during my final year at Aston University I was able to prepare my application forms very well for my further degree and I am now going to Cambridge University next year to study my Master of Philosophy degree.'
